Lucie Cooke Studio

I started Lucie Cooke Studio in February 2018 and began selling a selection of cards. Having always worked for a client, I wanted to create for myself, in my own style. The range grew to include badges, notebooks, tea towels, aprons and prints. At the start of 2020 I decided to focus the range on prints and bespoke illustrations, having my son helped me gain the focus that my target audience was now primarily for children. A few months later I rebranded from Lucie Cooke Illustration to Lucie Cooke Studio, I realised I had developed a strong identity with my illustration style, which had grown from selling cards at craft fairs into creating a wide range of bespoke prints and illustrations, along side freelance commissions - including logo design, pattern creation and graphics for merchandise; brand collaborations and children's book illustration. So the name needed to be bigger to reflect this.

I hand draw everything, the old fashioned way, with pen and paper. And I am proud of that! I tried to get to grips with digital drawing on an iPad but it just wasn't for me. I like my lines a little bit wonky and rough around the edges. It adds character! Once the outlines have been drawn in ink, they are digitised and coloured up digitally in my signature super bright colour palette.

My instagram account luciecookestudio is the best place to get an all round view!
