Illustration

I am experienced in a range of techniques and styles; from hand drawn line work, to watercolour painting, to digital design. Illustration came as a natural progression from working in pattern design and my varied and adaptable handwriting builds on years of working on such a range of products and clients. I enjoy using a mixture of techniques to achieve a unique look to my illustrations, such as combining fine-liner drawing with watercolour painting, or hand illustration with digital colour.

I have created two illustration brands based on two distinct illustration styles I enjoy working in; Lucie Cooke Studio and Botanicals and Bricks. I create prints and bespoke artwork and also undertake freelance commissions in both these styles.

Since 2020 I have illustrated 4 Childrens picture books for independent authors, through Fi and books publishing - Olly and Lilly by Matt Flukes, What a load of Junk by Rachel Tomlinson, A big change for Seb by Emily Hardwicke and My secret spy mission by Jessica Freeman.

Illustration clients include Number 8 cocktails, Jimmy Garcia Catering, Hindelinis at Ribblesdale Park, Glug magazine, CAMRA, Reading and Beyond, Ribble Valley Flowers, MOM Incubators, Isabella & Us magazine and Jones & Co opticians. Illustrations have been used for a wide range of end results, including menus, websites, logos, packaging, merchandise, flyers, books and magazines.
